To help you enjoy a relaxed and well-organised Formula 1 weekend at Istanbul Park, here are several useful tips to keep in mind before and during your visit.
Each grandstand zone has access to food and drink outlets, including permanent stands and temporary vendors set up for the event. You will find a variety of options ranging from quick snacks to hot meals, along with soft drinks and bottled water. The exact selection may differ depending on your seating area, but all main spectator sections are well served.
Visitors are generally not allowed to bring any food or drinks. Security checks take place at the entrances.
Before leaving for the circuit, download or save your tickets, maps and essential event information to your phone. Mobile networks can become overloaded on race day due to the large number of spectators, which may make it difficult to access emails, apps or messaging services. If you are attending with friends, agree on a meeting point and time in advance in case you lose connection.
Formula 1 cars produce extremely high noise levels. Even in covered grandstands, ear protection is strongly recommended. If you are bringing children, make sure they wear proper ear defenders designed for high-noise environments.
Istanbul’s weather can vary depending on the season, but race weekends are often warm and sunny during the day. Temperatures can rise significantly in direct sunlight, particularly in uncovered grandstands. At the same time, wind across the open areas of the circuit may make conditions feel cooler at times.
It is advisable to bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. Wearing comfortable clothing and staying hydrated throughout the day will help you feel comfortable from the first session to the chequered flag.
