Travelling by air is the fastest and most convenient way to reach Istanbul Park, especially for international visitors. Below are the main airport options and how to continue your journey to the circuit.

Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW)

Location: Approximately 15 to 20 km from Istanbul Park, making it the closest airport to the circuit.

Flights: Sabiha Gökçen serves a wide range of domestic and European destinations. Airlines operating here include Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Lufthansa and Qatar Airways.

Ground transportation:

• Car rental: International companies such as Avis, Hertz, Europcar and Budget have desks at the airport. The drive to the circuit takes around 20 to 30 minutes via the O-4 motorway, depending on traffic.
• Taxi: Taxis are available outside the arrivals terminal. The journey usually takes about 25 to 35 minutes, although travel time may increase on race weekend.
• Ride sharing: Uber and other app-based services operate in Istanbul and can be used for direct transport to the circuit.
• Public transport: Buses run from the airport to nearby districts such as Pendik and Kartal, where you can continue by taxi. On major event weekends, dedicated shuttle services may also be available.

Istanbul Airport (IST)

• Location: Around 90 to 100 km northwest of Istanbul Park.
• Flights: Istanbul Airport is Türkiye’s main international hub with global connections to cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, New York, and Dubai. Airlines include Turkish Airlines, British Airways, Emirates, and many others.

Ground transportation

• Car rental: Companies such as Sixt, Enterprise, and Avis operate at the airport. Driving to the circuit typically takes between 1.5 and 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
• Taxi: Taxis operate 24 hours a day. Travel time can vary significantly due to traffic, particularly when crossing the city.
• Public transport: You can take the metro or airport bus towards central Istanbul and then continue by Marmaray rail or metro towards the Asian side. From there, a taxi or local shuttle can take you to Istanbul Park.
